Quality XLR plug (male) or XLR socket (female) connectors for those of you who want to make your own leads. Warm up those soldering irons!
Here's a hint: if you want to make up a particular adaptor lead (from one of those awkward to solder little connectors like phono, mini-jack etc.) terminating in proper XLR buy a simple lead with moulded plugs from this section and cut the end off and solder xlrs on... much easier.
